Excellent experience as usual. Finaly managed to operate in this contest after few years QRT.
Used IC775DSP + ACOM 2000
Vert. Polarized 2 elements (VP2E)

3 Beverages (320 m to EU/NA, 200 m to VK and NA LP, 150 m to JA)
Due to radar jamming in BY - low activity from Japan. I was operating part time.
Alex EY8CQ operated about 30% of the time chasing new ones. I decided to pay
attention to NA qso and New Ones this year so got Cluster as a second Op.
Poor condition to USA.
Highlights:
1. Super signal from NP4A but no qso.
2. Excellent signals from KV4FZ, VY2ZM, PJ2T, ST2A and good RX.
3. Award for best RX goes to UA2F team operated as CN2A.
4. Thanks for comming back to my CQ: 9N7JO, 3W3W, XU7ACY, 9K2HN, EA8EA, ZA/Z35M, YA/LY1Y and many others.
5. Great number of super operators. Can't list them all.
Missed about 10 mults which I heard: IS0, GW, GU, NP4, YB, BY, VR2, DU, ZL, VK and KC1XX.
Worked 12 NA right after the contest.

I beleive Single Band SSB contesting on the Low Bands from Central
Asia is over to me. EU covered entire band with very little chance
for remote stations. Almost each CQ ended with EU station calling
CQ on your freq. So most of the contest I did This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. East Coast
station Heard KC1XX and loudest was K1LZ.
Just a few station I heard I didn't work from US. I missed VE3REM
for Zone mult. Special thanks for 3DA0WW and E51QMA for comming back
to my CQ and New One.I beleive that Vlad UP0L (UN9LW) set up new
Zone 17 record. Old UW9AF result on CQWW Web should be removed because
it is not calculated correctly. Simple calculation shows that his
result is over 5 poitns per QSO which is impossible.Congrats to
Jim CN2R and his Super Result. I hope he will post it shortly.

almost no openning to far locations. Got better on my sunset.
Very unusual opennings to West Coast over short pass.
Missied zone 2 but was very happy to work KL7TS and XE1ZW for very hard
to work zones.
Many bright episodes to remember! Called by A35RK and few hours later by
A35TT! Wow!

Sometimes almost impossible to RX anyone under strong EU signals. From 7000 to 7100 S-meter never goes lower than 59+20 when EU was open. Due to some reasons did not operated about 5 hrs of darkness but satisfied with my score. It is not easy to be so far from EU and US and claim serious result from center of Asian continent. But it was really good experience! Thank you Willy UA9AYA (UA9BA) and Fedor UK9AA for Zone 17 competition and congrats to Willy for incredible score! Comments:
My son had 10 year anniversary on Sunday so I didn't plan serious effort from
very beginning. My family let me operate full Saturday but I was busy with
preparations most of Sunday. So I had very few minutes to operate second day.
Was back about 1630Z when all guests left. :))))
Very good signals from NA second night. I was able to collect big number of
Sates/Provinces which is not usual for us.
Many good operators and excellent activity from all over the world.

Has no enough time to set up station on new qth.So was running 30 w most of the
contest except run of NA when I used 100W. Was chasing DX most of the time and
rarely called CQ.
